A fire involving a fuel laden tanker was contained at Pillars Energy Filling Station around the Stock Exchange area of Onitsha, Anambra State, on Sept. 28.
The incident occurred at about 9:20 p.m., prompting the Anambra State Fire Service to deploy two firefighting trucks to the scene.
The Fire Service said its personnel successfully extinguished the blaze and remained at the location afterwards to monitor the area and prevent re-ignition.

The agency confirmed that no lives were lost in the incident. The cause of the fire had not been established as of the time of filing this report.
The Fire Service advised residents and motorists to stay away from the affected area, maintain a safe distance and avoid obstructing emergency vehicles or personnel. It also urged the public to follow official safety instructions and promptly report fire emergencies to the appropriate authorities.
Residents were cautioned against gathering around active fire scenes, as keeping access routes clear allows emergency responders to operate safely and efficiently.
