‎The Federal Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Anambra State Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO), has successfully concluded the first phase of the Youth Health Fellowship Program and inaugurated the second cohort. This initiative is a key component of the Federal Government’s Healthcare Supervision Initiative, launched by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to revitalize the nation’s health sector.

‎At a certificate presentation ceremony held at the Ministry of Health’s conference hall in Awka, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Anambra State, Dr. Obiageli Uchebo, emphasized that the program is designed to develop young leaders who will serve as ambassadors for health sector reforms in their communities. She urged the newly inaugurated Cohort 2.0 to build upon the achievements of their predecessors.

‎The WHO State Representative, Dr. Mohammed Bonos, commended the graduating fellows for their resilience and community engagement, noting that they were selected based on merit to support ongoing health reforms. He advised the new cohort to leverage the foundation established by their predecessors.
‎


‎The Desk Officer for the Sector Wide Approach (SWAp), Dr. Chioma Obi, stated that the initiative is transforming healthcare systems and service delivery nationwide, and commended Cohort 1.0’s contributions, encouraging Cohort 2.0 to integrate into their communities and exceed their predecessors’ accomplishments.
