The Alumni Association of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, on Sept. 21, inaugurated its newly elected National Executive Council, signalling a fresh chapter for the association and college community.
Comrade Nwafor Innocent Okwudili emerged as the National President, alongside other elected executive, following the association’s leadership transition aimed at strengthening administration, unity and member participation across all levels.
The inauguration brought together members of the college community and alumni, creating an opportunity to celebrate the new leadership while reaffirming commitment to collective progress, service and institutional development.
In his leadership vision, Okwudili pledged purposeful, transparent and inclusive administration, with emphasis on members’ welfare, stronger alumni unity and meaningful contributions to the institution’s continued growth and development.
The new executive also expressed readiness to promote stronger collaboration between the college and alumni across different locations, recognising their collective role in supporting institutional growth and academic progress.
According to the association, the leadership will pursue initiatives that enhance alumni participation, strengthen relationships among members and create opportunities for continued support of FCE(T) Umunze and its programmes.
The executive called for cooperation from the college community and alumni, assuring members that their administration would operate with dedication, integrity and innovation throughout its tenure for shared progress.
The inauguration therefore marks a renewed chapter for the Alumni Association, with expectations of stronger unity, impactful programmes and sustained partnership towards advancing the interests of present and future generations.
