The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has extended warm congratulations to the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, on his 19th Episcopal Consecration anniversary on April 28.
This was announced in a press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Aburime, on April 28, 2026.
Mr. Aburime mentioned that the Governor praised the Bishop for his community involvement and the harmonious relationship between the Church and the State, which has promoted peace and social stability in the region. He reflected on the Bishop’s journey since his consecration in 2007, calling him a “shining light and a persistent advocate for the poor”.
On behalf of the Government and the people of Anambra State, Governor Soludo joined the Catholic community and the worldwide Christian family in honouring a life committed to serving God and humanity.
