The President General, Ekwulobia Town Union, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, Chief Azubike Ezechukwu, has commended the commitment of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration at ensuring that every community in the state has access to solar-powered water supply.
Chief Ezechukwu made this known during the technical handover of the water facilities to Ekwulobia town by the Anambra State Ministry of Power and Water Resources, Awka.

He noted that the newly completed water scheme would provide portable water to the community, as well as supply the flyover bridge fountain and the ornamental garden in Ekwulobia.
He expressed satisfaction with the project, emphasizing that the water system is functioning efficiently and that residents are delighted with the development.

He added that the entire Ekwulobia community is pleased with the positive transformation brought about by the state government under Gov. Soludo’s leadership.
In his remarks an indigene of Ekwulobia, Prof. Ken Abado also praised the governor for the numerous developmental projects in the town.
He observed that Ekwulobia has experienced significant improvement and now presents a new outlook compared to the past.

Speaking on behalf of the indigenes, Prof. Abado expressed gratitude to the state government for its efforts, noting that the governor’s initiatives extended beyond Ekwulobia to benefit the entire state.
He added that the community has given the governor the name “Oluatuegwu,” signifying courage and determination in pursuing projects that promote the overall development of Anambra State.

During the event, the team leader covering Anambra South Senatorial Zone and a staff member of the Ministry of Power and Water Resources, Mr. Elias Adinnu, explained that the initiative is part of the broader vision of the Soludo administration to make Anambra a livable and prosperous mega city.
He also urged the Ekwulobia community to properly manage and sustain the water project to ensure its long-term benefits.
The ceremony concluded with the signing of the handover documents by the President General, community representatives, the contractor, and the project supervisor, followed by a group photograph to mark the occasion.
