Supporters of Barr. Harold Chiedu Ekwerekwu were present at a football tournament in Onitsha South, in a show of solidarity for his aspiration to represent Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency.
Ekwerekwu, who was represented at the event by his Director-General, Hon. Chike Nwanolue, attended alongside members of his campaign team. The tournament was sponsored by Mr. Ibezimako Akpua, an APGA aspirant for Onitsha South Constituency 1.

The arrival of the team was met with enthusiasm from spectators at the venue, reflecting growing political engagement ahead of upcoming primaries.
The event also attracted key stakeholders from Onitsha South Local Government Area, including the Deputy Mayor, Hon. Onyebushi Charles Obi; APGA mayoral candidate, Hon. Mofunaya Ikechukwu; and the party chairman in the area, Hon. Uche Umennakaenyi, as well as councillors and other political figures.
Observers noted that such engagements continue to serve as platforms for interaction between aspirants and the grassroots, while fostering community participation in political activities.
