A former Awka Zonal Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, Dr Johnson Ezedinachi has confirmed Governor Chukwuma Soludo as indeed “Oluatuegwu’ in the health sector and beyond.
In a press statement at Ifitedunu, the Medical Director, Edozie Specialist and Maternity Hospital, Ifitedunu, Dr. Ezedinachi mentioned the establishment of a general hospital at Okpoko now renamed New Haven by Governor Soludo as a testament to the governor’s daring disposition.
Other advances in the health sector which the governor has made according to Dr. Ezedinachi, included the institutionalization of the free ante natal and free caesarian sessions giving to expectant and pregnant mothers in government”s owned public hospitals, the recruitment and consistent payment of over 1000 health workers in the state, the sustenance of the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme, among others.
The Medical expert further acknowledged the giant strides the governor has taken in the infrastructural development of the state, especially in the area of roads rehabilitation touching all the 3 Senatorial Zones of the state.
His expectation is that Anambra electorate will reciprocate his efforts by re-electing him for a second term in office.
In a related development, an illustrious son of Akanogu Abagana, Chief Ezenwa Okafor commended Governor Soludo for rehabilitating the Oyeagu- Nimo Road and expects him to ensure that the Ezi Icheke- Nimo Road and the Abagana Secretariat-Nimo Road receive equal attention.
