The Anambra State Hospital Administrator, Dr. Frank Ifeanaeme, has praised the Medical Officer in Charge of General Hospital, Nnobi, Dr. George Echendu, for his exceptional contributions to healthcare delivery in the state.
Dr. Ifeanaeme gave the commendation while speaking with the Information Desk Officer in his office following the Primary Healthcare Leadership Challenge Award and Recognition Ceremony held on June 18 at the Banquet Hall, Light House, Awka.
According to him, Dr. Echendu distinguished himself by emerging as the Best Medical Officer, Referral Secondary Facility Hub for Primary Healthcare Services in Anambra State, a feat he attributed to diligence, innovation, and effective leadership.
The Hospital Administrator described Dr. Echendu as one of the finest medical officers in Anambra’s secondary healthcare system, noting that he successfully transformed General Hospital, Nnobi, from a struggling facility into a thriving and efficient healthcare centre.
He stated that the remarkable improvements recorded at the hospital are evident to visitors, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders who have witnessed the facility’s growth and enhanced service delivery.
The Hospital Administrator, further highlighted Dr.Echendu’s dedication, commitment, and ability to inspire positive change despite prevailing challenges in the healthcare sector.
He urged other health workers across the state to emulate Dr. Echendu’s example by remaining innovative, hardworking, and focused on delivering quality healthcare services.
The Hospital Administrator also expressed appreciation to the Anambra State Government and development partners for promoting excellence through recognition and awards, stressing that such initiatives motivate health professionals to strive for greater achievements.
