Members of the Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) Old Boys Association serving at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN), have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the institution’s growth and development.
The group, led by Comrade Emma Chukwura, made the pledge during a courtesy visit to the Provost of the College, Prof. Victor Ndirika, at his office on July 21.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Comrade Chukwura congratulated Prof. Ndirika on his appointment as Provost, describing his emergence as “God-sent to NOCEN.” He expressed confidence in the Provost’s ability to provide purposeful leadership and wished him a successful and impactful tenure.
The delegation also commended the provost for the warm reception accorded them and assured him of their unwavering support in efforts aimed at advancing the College.
Responding, Prof. Ndirika expressed appreciation to the visitors for the thoughtful gesture and called for closer collaboration between the college and the old boys, particularly in agricultural investment, as a means of promoting institutional growth and sustainability and further appealed to the delegation to continue remembering him in their prayers as he leads the institution.
Earlier, while delivering the vote of thanks, Mr. Orji Anthony expressed appreciation to the provost for warmly receiving the delegation and reaffirmed the commitment of the DMGS Old Boys to support both his leadership and the continued development of NOCEN whenever the need arises.
