‎CWO UNVEILS REFORMED IDIOTU AMAKA CULTURAL DANCE TO PROMOTE FAITH, UNITY

‎The Catholic Women Organisation (CWO), St. Johnbosco Christian Community, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Iba-Pope, Awada, on June 28 officially unveiled its reformed Idiotu Amaka cultural dance in a colourful ceremony marked by thanksgiving, celebration, and renewed commitment to faith and cultural heritage.

‎The event, held at the parish arena, attracted dignitaries, including the Chairman, Mr. Emeka Nwaugo, represented by Brother Ifeanyi Ohajiaka, and the Mother of the Day, Hon. Mrs. Josephine Udorji.
‎
‎The ceremony featured the dedication of the group’s musical instruments and a spiritually uplifting rendition titled Altar of God by bro. Jowel Okoli, which underscored the importance of prayer, sacrifice, and personal devotion as the foundation of Christian growth.
‎


‎In his address, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Benedict Uchegbu, commended the women for their initiative, describing the reformed cultural dance as an effective instrument of evangelisation that fosters unity, strengthens faith, promotes cooperation, and deepens the bond between priests and parishioners.
‎
‎Speaking on behalf of the Chairman, Bro. Ifeanyi Ohajiaka described the reformed dance as wholesome spiritual entertainment rooted in christian values, while the Vice Chairman, Nze John Chris Onuegbu, applauded the members for their unwavering commitment to the service of God.
‎


‎Delivering her vote of thanks, the CWO President, Mrs. Gloria Okpara, expressed gratitude to God for the successful unveiling and appreciated the guests for their support and presence. She described the occasion as a celebration of love, unity, and spiritual dedication.
‎
‎Also speaking, the Princess of the reformed Idiotu Amaka cultural dance, Mrs. Chimaroke Muoreen, expressed delight over the successful unveiling and reaffirmed the group’s commitment to preserving faith-inspired cultural heritage.
‎
‎One of the participants, Mrs. Meg Agu, said the initiative would further strengthen peace, unity, and togetherness within the organisation while encouraging greater participation among women across the parish.
‎
‎Hightligh of the event was the presentation of merit awards to outstanding members, including Chidima Chibuike, Mrs. Pathy Okpalaezinne, Mrs. Chidera Okafor, Mrs. Oluchi Uzor, Mrs. Chinwe Anisieke, and several others, in recognition of their dedication and contributions to the organisation.
