The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, has congratulated the government and people of Anambra State on the 35th anniversary of the state’s creation.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on Aug. 27, the commissioner described the anniversary as a remarkable milestone that reflects 35 years of resilience, enterprise, progress and the collective efforts of Ndi Anambra towards the growth and development of the state.
CP Oji Ama commended the people of Anambra for their hard work, resilience and strong community spirit, as well as their continued support for efforts geared towards strengthening peace, security and sustainable development across the state.
He also acknowledged the contributions of traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, youths, women, civil society organisations and other stakeholders for their partnership with the Nigeria Police Force in promoting peace and security.
The commissioner assured residents of the command’s continued commitment to safeguarding lives and property, maintaining public safety and delivering professional, responsive and people-oriented policing services.
He urged Ndi Anambra to remain law-abiding and vigilant while supporting security agencies in the discharge of their duties, stressing that the maintenance of lasting peace and security requires the collective efforts of all residents.
While wishing the people of Anambra a joyous 35th anniversary celebration, CP Oji Ama called for continued unity, harmony and cooperation among citizens and residents towards building a safer, more peaceful and prosperous state.
