The Secretary of the Ndikelionwu Welfare Association, Lagos Branch, Mr. Chike Uchime, has commended the Anambra State Government for initiating the Anambra Mixed-Use Industrial City (AMIC) project, describing it as a major step toward positioning the state as a centre of economic and industrial excellence.
Speaking during an interview on May 19, Uchime said the AMIC project would significantly accelerate economic growth and create new opportunities for investment and employment once operations begin.
He expressed appreciation to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for designating Ndikelionwu as one of the host communities for the industrial city project.
Reviewing developments across the state since the governor assumed office, Uchime praised Soludo’s administration for visible improvements in infrastructure and public services. According to him, development is gradually reaching different parts of the state, with many communities now benefiting from improved road networks.
He noted that the health sector has witnessed remarkable progress through the construction of new hospitals and health centres alongside the renovation of existing facilities. He also highlighted reforms in the education sector and the construction of a modern Government House as evidence of purposeful governance.
“Development is gradually permeating every nook and cranny of the state. Governance has improved, and Governor Soludo has performed remarkably well since assuming office,” Uchime noted.
He described the governor’s leadership style as a “stick-and-carrot approach,” aimed at promoting discipline, responsible civic conduct, and sustainable development.
Uchime further emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between town unions and government to encourage indigenes living outside the state to reconnect with their communities through proper re-orientation and support systems.
He also applauded the governor for appointing and inaugurating commissioners and key government officials expected to drive the administration’s development agenda.
