World Health Day, observed every April 7, reminds us that good health is the foundation of a thriving society.
In Anambra State, this vision is not just a slogan but a growing reality. The administration of Charles Chukwuma Soludo continues to strengthen the healthcare system through the upgrade of primary healthcare centres, improved access to medical services, and strategic investments in the sector.
Complementing these efforts is the inspiring Healthy Living Initiative championed by Nonye Soludo, which encourages Ndi Anambra to embrace natural, nutritious diets, regular exercise, and overall wellness. Her advocacy against excessive consumption of processed foods and promotion of organic lifestyles is gradually reshaping health consciousness across the state.
This year’s World Health Day theme calls for stronger health systems, but it also speaks to personal responsibility. Good health begins with the choices we make daily.
As Anambra continues on its journey toward a healthier future, citizens must key into these initiatives—by eating right, living right, and supporting government health programmes.
Because indeed, a healthy Anambra is a wealthy Anambra.
