April 1st, widely known as April Fool’s Day, is a day of lighthearted jokes and harmless pranks shared across the world.

In Anambra State, while we appreciate the value of laughter and social connection, this day also reminds us of the importance of responsibility in communication. In a fast-paced digital age, misinformation can spread quickly, and what begins as a joke can easily be misunderstood.
The Anambra State

Government therefore encourages Ndi Anambra to celebrate with moderation — ensuring that humor does not mislead, cause panic, or undermine public trust.
Aligned with the vision of a smart, secure, and livable homeland under the leadership of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, citizens are urged to uphold values of integrity, respect, and truthfulness in all forms of communication.

Let this day not only be about jokes, but also a reminder that responsible information sharing is key to building a progressive society.
Celebrate wisely, laugh freely — but always act responsibly.

Happy April Fool’s Day.
