COMMENDATION SERVICE HELD FOR RETIRED ABS MD, OFFOH

A commendation service has been held in honour of the late Sir Oselloka Offoh, a retired Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) and Knight of St. Christopher, Diocese on the Niger.

The service, held at All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha, on Aug. 18 featured tributes and testimonies from family members, friends, clergy, fellow knights and their ladies, who celebrated the deceased’s life and contributions to the Church and society.

Offoh, who died at the age of 63, was described by mourners as a man of integrity, humility, deep faith and commitment to service.

In a sermon at the service, which commenced with a procession of Knights of St. Christopher, the Senior Priest of the Diocese, Dr. Chidi Nwadike, said Offoh served the Diocese faithfully and contributed actively to several of its committees.

Nwadike described him as a good and dedicated Christian and urged the faithful to live exemplary lives worthy of emulation.

The children of the deceased, Sydney and Pharmacist Sandra Offoh, described their father as a man of integrity, discipline and deep faith who prioritised God, family and service to humanity.

They said his life was marked by humility, generosity and an unwavering commitment to truth, both in his family and public service.

Members of the Knights of St. Christopher and their ladies also paid glowing tributes, describing Offoh as diligent, approachable and a dependable pillar of support in the Diocese.

The service featured hymns, prayers and thanksgiving in celebration of his life, while the clergy urged mourners to emulate his dedication to duty, the Church and community development.

Offoh is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and other relatives.
