The Chairman, Civil Liberties Organization (CLO) Anambra State branch, Comrade Vincent Ezekweme extends its warmest congratulations to His Excellency, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on his inauguration for a second term as the Executive Governor of Anambra State.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Onitsha Anambra State, by Comrade Vincent and Comrade Chidi Mbah, Secretary, the group commended Governor Soludo’s transformative and reformative servant leadership.
“We appreciate his achievements, commitment to serving God and humanity, and we are optimistic that his second term will be marked by even greater achievements,” he said.
The CLO also goes further to commend the governorship candidates of various political parties for demonstrating patriotism, maturity, and simplicity by not challenging the outcome of last year’s Governorship Election in court.
According to the group, this gesture underscores the importance of putting the interest of the state above personal interests.
As Governor Soludo embarks on his second term, we appeal to him to ensure an inclusive government that represents the diverse interests of the people.
We urge him to prioritize the improvement of the state’s security architecture and address the pressing needs of the people, he said.
The CLO specifically appeal to the Governor to complete and rehabilitate the dilapidated Bida, Creek, and Vein Road North and South roads in Onitsha South LGA.
Soludo to also consider building shops at Nwangene Lake near Creek Road to accommodate traders affected by the recent demolition of illegal structures at Main Market Onitsha.”
CLO pledges unalloyed committment to working with Governor Soludo to ensure that the people of Anambra State receive the best possible governance.
“We are confident that his second term will be marked by significant progress and development as we wish him a successful tenure and pray that God grants him the wisdom, grace, good health and political will to continue serving the people of Anambra State with dedication and excellence.”
