The State Civil Service Commission has concluded the 2023/2024 promotions exercise for Civil Servants In the state

The Commission’s Chairman Mr.Anthony Ezenwaka disclosed this while speaking to the press in Awka.

According to Mr.Ezenwaka, the onus lies on all concerned Ministries to do the needful to enable the commission officially release the gen.35 of all affected civil servants in the state.

He announced that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has formally given his consent for the conduct of the 2025 promotions for civil servants in the state before this year runs out to avoid unnecessary delays in their promotions.

On the trending news in some quarters that governor Soludo has undermined the welfare of workers in the state,Mr Ezenwaka described the insinuations as not only misleading, mischievous but untrue.

According to him, the governor has dutifully prioritized the welfare of workers in the state in not only paying them as and when due,but ensuring the training and retraining of staff in the state civil service.

Other areas where the governor has touched the welfare of workers in the state he affirmed, is in his recruitment of 8,115 teachers in the education sector, recruitment of over one thousand health workers in the state,in the unprecedented renovation of the Civil Service Commission complex for effective service delivery, in the promotion of civil servants in the state, ensuring the effective implementation of their conversions,transfers, ensuring the welfare of pensioners among others.

The Commission’s boss expects people who criticize the Soludo administration to criticize objectively in the interest of the state.
