CHINA, ASUBEB ORGANISE CHILDREN’S DRAWING COMPETITION IN AWKA

The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Lagos, in collaboration with the Hua Xing Arts Troupe Nigeria, China Industrial and Commercial Enterprise Association in Nigeria, and the Association of Chinese Women, with the support of the Federal Ministry of Education, has organised the 4th Nigerian Children’s Drawing Competition as part of activities marking the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival.

The competition, aimed at encouraging creativity among pupils and students while promoting cultural exchange and strengthening the relationship between Nigeria and China, was held today May 14, at the ASUBEB Utility Hall, Awka.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) Dr Justina Anyadiegwu, represented by the Administrative Director, Mrs Florence Chinweze encouraged the school children to remain focused and put more effort into their studies and skill development in order to succeed in life.

She stressed that determination, hard work, and consistency are necessary for achieving one’s goals.

Also speaking, the Director of Special Education Department, Mrs. Cecilia Chinweze, urged the students to participate actively in the drawing competition and give their best, noting that outstanding participants would benefit from the competition.

The event featured drawing competition from different schools across the state.
