CHILDREN’S DAY: ASUBEB CHAIRMAN REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO INCLUSIVE, QUALITY EDUCATION

The Chairman of the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), Dr, Justina Anyadiegwu, has expressed excitement and optimism as children across the country celebrate the 2026 Children’s day.

Speaking at the event to mark the 2026 children’s day in Awka, she described children as the future of Anambra State and Nigeria, noting that the celebration is an opportunity to encourage them to remain focused on their education and personal development .

Dr. Anyadiegwu said that the Governor Chukwuma Soludo”s led administration remains committed to improving the quality of education and creating opportunities for every child to succeed, describing Anambra learners as intelligent and talented, stressing that with proper support and learning environment, they can compete with their peers anywhere in the world.

The ASUBEB chairman explained that the Board is working hard to improve school infrastructures, train teachers regularly and promote digital learning across public schools in the state, adding that efforts are also in place to ensure that children in rural and vulnerable communities have equal access to quality education.

Dr Anyadiegwu appreciated the efforts of parents and teachers for their sacrifices and dedication towards raising responsible children. She urged learners to remain hardworking, disciplined and focused on their studies, assuring them that the future is bright for the Anambra child.
