The immediate out gone Chief Executive Officer(CEO), Anambra State Erosion, Watershed and Climate Change Agency(ANSEWCCA), Prof. Philip Phil-Eze has poured encomiums on Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s performance in governance, describing it as unprecedented.
He said this in an interaction with information officers shortly after All Progressive Grand Alliance(APGA) Primary Election, at Nkwo Akpo, in Aguata LGA, on May 23.
The Professor said, “Soludo is better described as God sent to serve Ndi Anambra.
He described him as a man that has achieved much with little, an Economist of international repute who has brought his Economics know how to bare in driving affairs of Anambra State.
“Ndi Akpo can not thank him enough.
“I must confess, Uga, Amesi , Akpo, Ogboji Road that is nearing completion under Soludo was awarded during the time of former Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju who ruled Anambra State between 1999 and 2003.
“Successive governors who ruled amid oil boom with much money coming into the State had not enough resources to execute the project until Soludo’s emergence.
“He has used Anambra State resources to work for Ndi Anambra.
“His performance in education in the last four years surpassed all what they have been doing since 1999.
“This is more reason why 8115 teachers were employed, yet not sufficient. Today if Anybody within school age from Anambra State or leaving within did not go school, he or she is to blame hence nursery, primary and secondary education is free in Anambra State.
“In health, the gap between the poor and the rich is closed hence free antenatal, delivery, postnatal is available within Anambra State.
“A token premium to Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme(ASHIA) guarantees adequate medicare at good hospital across Anambra State.
“Soludo is indeed Governor to write home about.”
Prof Phil-Eze enjoined Ndi Anambra to give total support to Governor Soludo irrespective of political party affiliation or divide hence going to the right is always right.
“We need an Anambra State that is secured just like we are enjoying now.”
According to Prof. Phil-Eze, APGA Primaries which he participated therein was well organized and peaceful.
He congratulated APGA leadership for conducting free fair primaries, describing political party internal democracy as requisite to sustaining democratic government.
