The Bishop on the Niger, Rt. Rev. Owen Chiedozie Nwokolo has urged newly admitted and confirmed members of the Anglican Communion to remain steadfast in their faith and committed to serving God as faithful stewards of Christ.
Speaking during an admission and confirmation service held on June 24, at the Basilica of St. Andrew, Onitsha, under the Onitsha Central Archdeaconry, Bishop Nwokolo reminded the candidates that the Christian journey requires dedication, discipline, and unwavering commitment to God’s work.
Addressing the candidates, the Bishop encouraged them to embrace their new life in Christ and remain worthy ambassadors of the faith through their character and conduct.

“You have received new life in Christ Jesus. Go and live out that new life by representing Christ in love, humility and godly conduct wherever you find yourselves,” he said.
He noted that admission into various church organizations and confirmation in the faith come with greater responsibilities, urging the candidates to remain active in church activities and committed to spiritual growth.

Bishop Nwokolo further challenged them to uphold Christian values in their daily lives and serve as positive examples through their words, actions and appearance.
“Remain steadfast and committed in your work for the Lord. Let your lives reflect the teachings of Christ and the values of the Church,” he added.
The service attracted family members, church leaders, parishioners and well-wishers who gathered to witness the admission and confirmation of the candidates.
In his closing prayer, Bishop Nwokolo prayed for God’s grace upon the newly admitted and confirmed members, asking that they remain rooted in Christ and continue to grow in faith throughout their lives.
