The Bishop of the Diocese on the Niger, Owen Chiedozie Nwokolo, led the dedication of a newly completed parsonage and multi-purpose hall alongside the induction and institution of Rev. Canon Friday Richard Ossi as the Vicar of St. Christopher’s Anglican Church, Nnobi.
The event, held at the church premises in Nnobi under the Nnobi Archdeaconry, attracted clergy, church members, and well-wishers who gathered to witness the significant milestone in the life of the parish.

Speaking during the ceremony, Bishop Nwokolo expressed profound gratitude to God for the gift of Easter, emphasizing the victory Christians have in Christ Jesus.
He noted that the resurrection of Christ remains a cornerstone of the Christian faith, symbolizing triumph over sin, death, and the world.
The prelate charged the faithful to live in the consciousness of this victory, urging them to exercise their dominion and authority in Christ.

He admonished Christians not to return to a life of fear but to embrace the new hope made possible through the risen Saviour.
Highlighting the importance of spiritual growth and commitment, the Bishop encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in faith, love, and good works, adding that the church must continue to reflect Christ in both word and action.
The induction and institution of Rev. Canon Ossi as Vicar marked a new chapter for the parish, as the cleric formally assumed pastoral leadership of the church.

In his closing prayers, Bishop Nwokolo pronounced Episcopal blessings upon the congregation, praying for divine strength and grace upon the faithful.
He further asked God to enable His people to live out their Christian calling, expressing faith through love and service, while invoking God’s abiding blessings upon their households.

The ceremony concluded with thanksgiving and renewed commitment by members of the church to uphold the values of the Christian faith.
