Ave Maria Prayer Ministry, Ifite Awka, Anambra State, has dedicated its Ministry Empowerment Project Centres and unveiled a shuttle bus for its Women’s Wing during the 2026 Praise Day celebration.
Held on June 23, the event aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s human capital development agenda by promoting empowerment and self reliance.
The Spiritual Director, Dr. Livinus Okeke, said the empowerment centres are anchored on an agro based mini industry established to reduce hardship, create jobs, finance ministry projects, empower vulnerable persons, and promote self-reliance.

He said the facility processes garri, cassava flakes, palm oil, palm kernel oil, cereals, and livestock feeds, adding that all major machines for the operations have been acquired.
Dr. Okeke also listed the ministry’s achievements, including the purchase of additional land, replacement of the prayer house roof, fencing of the expanded property, and completion of the prayer arena.
He disclosed that the ministry’s scholarship foundation has produced 25 university graduates, 40 secondary school graduates, and 12 primary school graduates, while seven students are currently benefiting from the scheme.
Chairman of the occasion, Barr. Udoka Anugwu, encouraged members to remain steadfast, while Guest of Honour, Chief Ekene Akajiaku, unveiled the Women’s Wing shuttle bus.
Other dignitaries included the Father of the Day, Hon. Alfred Okafor, President-General of Omasi Kingdom, and Mrs. Chinweze Obi, Director, Anambra State Ministry of Lands.
The annual Praise Day, seeks to thank God for blessings received from January to June and seeks His guidance for the remaining months, also featured prayers for pregnant women, expectant mothers, and the dedication of babies.
