ASPHCDA EXECUTIVE SECRETARY REASSURES PREGNANT WOMEN OF ACCESSIBLE HEALTHCARE
By Nnedinma Okeke
The Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ASPHCDA), Dr. Chizoba Prisca Ezeasor, has reassured pregnant women of the state government’s commitment to accessible and quality maternal healthcare.
Dr. Ezeasor gave the assurance during her tour of Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) at Enugu-Agidi in Njikoka LGA on Aug. 20.
She explained that under Governor
Chukwuma Soludo’s free healthcare programme, antenatal care, deliveries, referrals and indicated surgeries are provided at no cost in public health facilities.

The executive secretary encouraged expectant mothers to attend antenatal appointments regularly and seek timely medical attention when needed.
Two beneficiaries, Mrs. Chioma Umeadi and Mrs. Blessing Oraebunam, expressed appreciation to the state government, saying the free maternal health services had eased the financial burden associated with pregnancy and childbirth.
