The Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA) has taken its health insurance awareness campaign to Nnobi in Idemili South Local Government Area(LGA), urging residents to embrace health insurance as a practical way of improving access to affordable healthcare.
The agency made the call during a sensitisation and interactive session with Nnobi indigenes on Sept. 8, at the Pius Ufudo Foundation Hall, Nnobi.
Speaking during the engagement, Mrs. Nneoma Anoliefo of the ASHIA Marketing Department explained the importance of health insurance, encouraging eligible residents to enrol in the scheme.
She said enrolment could help beneficiaries access healthcare services under the insurance programme while reducing the financial burden that medical expenses can place on individuals and families.

Anoliefo responded to questions from participants and provided clarification on ASHIA’s programmes, benefits and enrolment procedures, giving community members an opportunity to better understand how the scheme works.
The interactive session further provided a platform for ASHIA to engage directly with residents, address concerns and encourage greater awareness and participation in health insurance coverage.

The agency’s outreach to Nnobi underscores the importance of taking health insurance information closer to communities so that residents can make informed decisions about protecting their health and managing healthcare costs.
