The Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA), Dr. Augustine Ezeka, has held an interactive meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of Apex Multi-Specialist Hospital, Prof. Uchenna Nwosu, aimed at strengthening collaboration and improving healthcare service delivery for Ndi Anambra.
Prof. Nwosu, an American-based Professor of Medicine and indigene of Igboukwu, commended Dr. Ezeka for the warm reception accorded him and praised the remarkable strides recorded by ASHIA under his leadership within a short period of his appointment.
He noted that the Agency’s efforts towards expanding access to quality and affordable healthcare are commendable and expressed optimism that stronger partnerships with healthcare providers would further enhance the wellbeing of residents across the state.
Speaking during the meeting held at the ASHIA Headquarters in Awka, today June 11, Dr. Ezeka reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that will support the delivery of efficient, accessible, and affordable healthcare services to the people of Anambra State.
The meeting focused on exploring areas of mutual collaboration between ASHIA and Apex Multi-Specialist Hospital with the shared goal of improving health outcomes and advancing universal health coverage in the state.
Also present at the meeting were Dr. James Akubue and the Business Development Manager of Apex Multi-Specialist Hospital, Mr. Chika Onwuegbuchilam.
