The Anambra State Accounting Staff Association (ASASA) on June 15, has commended the Anambra State Urban Water Assets Holding Corporation (ASUWAHC) for its exceptional performance in accounting service delivery and financial management within the state.
During a courtesy visit to the corporation, the ASASA delegation, led by its executive, commended ASUWAHC for it’s commitment to financial accountability, transparency, and prudent record keeping.
According to the association, ASUWAHC has distinguished itself as one of the top five best performing government agencies in accounting practices across Anambra State. ASASA noted that the recognition reflects the corporation’s consistent professionalism and strict adherence to sound financial management principles.
Responding to the honour, the Officer-in-Charge of ASUWAHC, Mrs. Emmanuella Okafor, expressed appreciation to the association for the recognition. She described the commendation as a morale booster for the accounting staff and reaffirmed the corporation’s commitment to maintaining high standards of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement in its financial operations.
Mrs. Okafor emphasized that ASUWAHC remains dedicated to ensuring effective financial management in support of efficient water sector service delivery across the state.
ASASA further stated that its assessment and recognition initiative is aimed at strengthening the culture of accountability across ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), thereby promoting good governance and enhancing public service delivery in Anambra State.
