The Management of the Anambra State Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA) has launched Operation “See It, Video It & Earn”, a public driven initiative aimed at strengthening traffic law enforcement and curbing the dangerous practice of driving against traffic on dual carriageways across the state.
The initiative was announced in a statement published on the agency’s facebook page on July 19.
Under the campaign, members of the public are encouraged to record clear video evidence of motorists driving against traffic. The footage must clearly capture both the offending vehicle and its registration number.
The agency urged residents to submit such videos via WhatsApp to 08063159282, explaining that where a report is verified and leads to the impoundment of the offending vehicle, the whistleblower will receive a minimum reward of ₦20,000.
ARTMA assured members of the public that the identities of all whistleblowers would be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
According to the agency, the campaign is designed to promote responsible road use, discourage reckless driving and protect road users from preventable crashes caused by one-way violations.
The agency called on residents to support the initiative by reporting traffic offenders, stressing that collective action is essential to building a safer road transport system across Anambra State.
