‎House of Assembly hopeful, Hon. Felix Ikechi, has expressed strong support for the adoption of the Option A4 direct primary system by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), describing it as a bold step toward deepening internal democracy and promoting transparency within the party.

‎Speaking during an interaction with information officer, Ikechi commended the leadership of APGA for embracing a system that allows for open participation and accountability in the selection of candidates.

‎He noted that the Option A4 model, which involves queue-based voting, remains one of the most credible methods of ensuring that the true wishes of party members are respected.

‎Ikechi who is aspiring to represent Anambra West in the State House of Assembly under APGA, explained that this decision reflects the party’s dedication to fairness and grassroots involvement, emphasizing that it will help eliminate manipulation and build trust among members.

‎“The adoption of Option A4 is a clear indication that APGA is determined to uphold democratic values and give every member a voice in the decision-making process,” Ikechi said.

‎The House of Assembly hopeful further emphasized that credible primaries are essential for producing capable and people-oriented leaders. He urged fellow aspirants to embrace the process with sincerity and maintain unity before and after the exercise.

‎As the primaries draw closer, political analysts believe that Ikechi’s endorsement of the A4 system reinforces his image as a strong advocate for accountability, participatory governance, and credible leadership.
