‎The Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB) has commenced a two-day workshop at King David Hotels, Awka, under the theme “Upholding Work Ethics: A Catalyst for Sustainable Urban Development.” The training brought together staff members of the board to reinforce professional standards and improve service delivery within the state’s physical planning sector.
‎

‎Opening the first day’s session, retired Town Planner TPL Mmaduakonam C. Amaechina delivered a presentation on the role of town planners in urban development. He outlined the statutory responsibilities of the profession, identified current challenges, and emphasized the importance of discipline and ethical conduct in building organized and sustainable cities.

He urged planners to pursue continuous capacity building while ensuring that ethical standards remain non-negotiable in their practice.
‎

‎
‎Also, Mrs. Okoli of the Ministry of Finance addressed accounting in government operations, stressing that transparency and proper documentation of public resources are essential to building public trust.
‎

‎In his address, the ANSPPB General Manager TPL Ajuluchukwu Nwankwo expressed satisfaction with staff turnout and expressed confidence that the training would reflect positively in their work. He also expressed gratitude for the successful conduct of the opening session.
‎
