The Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA) has extended its workplace health screening and disease prevention services to workers at Soprom Hotel and Suites, 3-3, Onitsha, as part of efforts to promote a healthier and more productive workforce across the state.
The outreach, conducted on Oct. 28, was organised under Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Healthy Workplace Compliance Initiative, which promotes early disease detection, access to essential healthcare services and improved workplace health practices.

The exercise featured free screening for HIV, Hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria, alongside health education, counselling and awareness on disease prevention.
The initiative is designed to bring essential healthcare services closer to workers, encouraging them to prioritise their health, seek timely medical attention and adopt preventive practices that contribute to their overall well being.

Through the programme, the Soludo administration continues to promote a health conscious workforce, recognising that healthy employees are better positioned to contribute to workplace productivity and the state’s socio economic development.
ANSACA reaffirmed its commitment to expanding the Healthy Workplace Compliance Initiative across public and private establishments in Anambra State’s 21 local government areas.
The agency also emphasised the importance of sustained HIV prevention efforts, early testing, access to healthcare and the elimination of stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV.
The outreach forms part of broader efforts to build a healthier Anambra where workers have improved access to preventive healthcare and workplaces actively support the well-being of their employees.
A healthy workforce, a productive Anambra, a greater Solution!
