The Mayor of Nnewi North LG, Hon. Echezona Anazodo, on 16 March 2026, toured all markets in the area to ensure compliance with the Anambra State government’s ban on Monday sit-at-home. Accompanied by top government officials and security personnel, Hon. Anazodo expressed his delight at the massive turnout of traders engaging in business activities.
He commended the traders for their cooperation and assured them that the government has created an enabling environment for smooth business operations on Mondays. Hon. Anazodo also praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s efforts in restoring Anambra State to its former glory.
The mayor encouraged traders to remain steadfast, assuring them that they would soon recover losses and receive government support. The tour demonstrated the commitment to building a progressive Nnewi North.
