ANAMBRA WEST MAYOR NDIVE CELEBRATES CHILDREN ON 2026 CHILDREN’S DAY.

The Executive Mayor of Anambra West Local Government Area, Edith Nkeiru Ndive, has extended warm felicitations to children across the local government area as Nigeria marks the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
In a goodwill message issued today, May 27, the mayor, described children as the hope, pride, and future of every society, stressing the need for continuous investment in their education, welfare, and moral upbringing.
Hon. Ndive commended children in Anambra West for their resilience, creativity, and determination in the face of prevailing social and economic challenges, noting that every child possesses unique talents and enormous potential capable of contributing meaningfully to community and national development.
She urged children to remain focused on their education and personal growth while shunning negative influences that could derail their future aspirations.
The mayor further reaffirmed the commitment of her administration to policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare and educational advancement of children across Anambra West, emphasizing that the future of the society depends largely on how well children are nurtured and empowered today.
According to her, providing a conducive environment for children to thrive remains a shared responsibility among government, parents, teachers, guardians, and community leaders.
Hon. Ndive also called on parents and guardians to continue instilling discipline, sound moral values, and leadership qualities in children to prepare them for greater responsibilities in the future.
She prayed for continued peace, protection, and success for all children in Anambra West and wished them a joyful and memorable 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
