ANAMBRA WEST APGA INAUGURATES CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE AHEAD OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Anambra West Chapter, has inaugurated its Election Campaign Secretariat Committee as part of preparations for the forthcoming Anambra State Local Government Election.

The inauguration, held on July 30 at Umueze Anam, brought together party leaders, stakeholders, candidates and supporters from across Anambra West Local Government Area(LGA).

Speaking at the event, the Mayor of Anambra West LGA, Hon. Mrs. Edith Ndive, advice members of the committee to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, unity and commitment.

She urged them to take the party’s campaign to every ward and community while engaging residents on issues that affect their lives and aspirations.

The committee is chaired by Dr. Chinedu Ekwealor, with Hon. Mrs. Chinyere Monya serving as Secretary. The Vice Chairmen are Arch. Chris Udoba (Ezi-Anam Zone), Engr. Bonaventure Ogugua (Igala Zone) and Hon. Ikem Onyeaka (Ivite Anam Zone).

Other members include Dr. Ekene Oguguo, Dr. Tony Obierike, Hon. Reuben Ozoemena, Mr. Romanus Egwuatu, Comrade Chinedu Anikpeh, Barr. Emma Nwabunwanne, Hon. Paul Uzor, Hon. Dr. Felix Ikechi and other party stakeholders.

Responding on behalf of the committee, the Chairman, Dr. Chinedu Ekwealor, thanked the leadership of APGA for the confidence reposed in the committee, pledging to carry out its assignment with commitment, integrity and teamwork.

He described the party’s mayoral candidate, Dr. Tony Obierike, as a capable candidate and assured party members that the committee would focus on effective grassroots mobilisation, coordinated campaign activities and strengthening the party’s structures across all communities in Anambra West.

Dr. Ekwealor pledged to promote unity among party members and work towards delivering a successful campaign ahead of the local government election.

The event concluded with party leaders and supporters expressing confidence in the committee’s ability to coordinate the campaign and mobilise support for APGA candidates in the forthcoming polls.
