ANAMBRA TRANSPORT MINISTRY MOURNS SSA ON TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS, JERRY ALOCHA

The Anambra State Ministry of Transport has expressed grief over the death of Hon. Jerry Ndubisi Alocha, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Transport and Logistics, describing his passing as a painful loss to the state and the transport sector.

The Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo, said this on Aug. 7, when he led a delegation from the ministry on a condolence visit to the deceased’s family in Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area(LGA).

Ibuzo described the late Alocha, popularly known as Ozonma Nibo, as a diligent public servant who maintained cordial relationships with colleagues, officials and stakeholders throughout his service to the state.

“The death of our Senior Special Assistant on Transport and Logistics is a painful loss to the state government, especially the Ministry of Transport,” the commissioner said.

He noted that Alocha’s dedication to duty and cooperative disposition contributed to a harmonious working relationship within the ministry and among stakeholders in the transport sector.

The delegation included the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Michael Obiekwe, who joined the commissioner in expressing condolences to the bereaved family and acknowledging the deceased’s contributions to public service.

The ministry prayed for God’s strength and comfort for the family, while colleagues and associates remembered Alocha for his humility, commitment to duty and willingness to work with others.

The ministry also prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and comfort for his family, friends, colleagues and all who mourn his passing.
