The Anambra State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS) as part of efforts to enhance security and combat crime across the state.
The commitment was made on July 10 when senior officers of the NFSS, Anambra State Command, paid a courtesy visit to the Police Command Headquarters in Awka.
Welcoming the delegation, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Ibrahim Ezekiel, said the visit was in line with the command’s resolve to deepen strategic partnerships with key security stakeholders to sustain gains in the fight against crime and criminality.
He urged the NFSS to continue supporting lawful security operations by providing credible and timely intelligence to aid crime prevention and detection. According to him, effective information sharing and coordinated operations are essential to maintaining peace and public safety in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Anambra State Commander of the Nigeria Forest Security Service, Mazi Destiny Jonas, commended the Police Command for its proactive approach to security and expressed the Service’s readiness to work closely with the Police and other security agencies to promote peace and safety across the state.
Both organisations reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening operational collaboration, enhancing intelligence sharing and sustaining stakeholder engagement in line with the Inspector-General of Police’s vision of a safer and more secure Nigeria.
