High Chief Dr. Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor, Founder of Ide Global Movement and Convenor of Ide Global for Soludo’s second tenure, says there is no vacancy in the Light House, endorsing Governor Chukwuma Soludo re-election, following his antecedents.

He made the assertion while interacting with the press shortly after receiving a recognition Patron Award from the Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria, Awka Diocese at the Archbishop Obiefuna Retreat and Pastoral Centre, Okpuno on September 20.

Dr. Ekweozor expressed confidence in Governor Soludo’s re-election, citing a lack of strong, credible opposition. He praised the governor’s performance and advised voters to focus on doing what is right rather than engaging in rivalry during the election.

He poured encomiums on Soludo’s style of leadership, describing it as unprecedented.

“Soludo’s policies shall make history favourable to him. Anambra State is standing tall in the committee of states of Nigeria under Soludo.

“We shall be going to the polls come November 8 to vote for continuity. We need not to make mistake about this. Let us support Soludo irrespective of party affiliation, ambitions, as Anambra State interest supersedes personal interest. Soludo is the solution at hand,” he advised.

Earlier, Ide Umuawulu expressed gratitude to the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, acknowledging him as a tool of God who has accomplished many works through his ministry. He prayed for the bishop’s good health, long life, and safety. Ide Umuawulu also extended thanks to the clergy for their spiritual leadership.

Chief Ekweozor further expressed gratitude for being awarded Patron of the Laity Council. He humbly noted that while he didn’t think he deserved the award, it reflected the Laity Council’s positive observations of his efforts. He welcomed the recognition, seeing it as validation of his good works.

Ide Umuanwulu pledged to uphold the expectations of the Laity Council and support them in their endeavors. He emphasized his commitment to matters related to the house of God, praying for the Council’s continued success.

Additionally, he mentioned his support for the ongoing Laity Council Secretariat building project, promising to contribute to its completion.

His expression of gratitude highlights the appreciation for the bishop’s ministry and the collaborative efforts of various groups within the church.
