The Management team of Globacom Limited, led by the Director of Enterprise Business, Adeniyi Odejoni, paid a courtesy visit to the Anambra State Government to discuss a strategic partnership aimed at advancing digital transformation and technological development in the state. The delegation was received on behalf of the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, by the Secretary to the State Government, Chiamaka Nnake.
Speaking during the engagement, Mrs. Nnake said the Soludo administration remains committed to leveraging technology and innovation to transform governance and improve the quality of life for Ndi Anambra.

She noted that the government is currently implementing massive urban renewal and expansion projects across major cities, particularly Awka and Onitsha, while simultaneously investing in digital infrastructure capable of supporting smart governance and economic growth.
According to the SSG, the present administration has continued to prioritize innovation in critical sectors, especially education and healthcare, through the establishment of smart schools, digital learning initiatives, and telemedicine services targeted at improving access to quality healthcare in communities across the state.
Mrs. Nnake stressed that partnerships with leading technology companies such as Globacom Limited would play a critical role in realizing Governor Soludo’s vision of transforming Anambra into a modern, livable, and technology-enabled homeland.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation and Director of Enterprise Business at Globacom Limited, Adeniyi Odejoni, applauded the Soludo administration for its extensive infrastructural development and visionary leadership.
He particularly commended ongoing investments in road construction, urban renewal, and security architecture, describing them as strong foundations for sustainable economic growth and digital advancement.
Mr. Odejoni explained that Globacom is transitioning from a conventional telecommunications provider into a full digital solutions company designed to meet emerging technological demands in governance, education, healthcare, and enterprise management.
He revealed that the company presented several enterprise solutions tailored for the Anambra State Government, including dedicated internet and enterprise connectivity for schools, hospitals, and ICT hubs to guarantee reliable internet access across public institutions.
Other proposed initiatives include the deployment of a smart learning management platform for primary and secondary schools under the “ASG Smart Learning” initiative, as well as a sponsored data service known as “Glo Share,” which would provide zero-rated internet access for students and teachers using the state’s digital learning platforms.
The proposal also featured digital health solutions aimed at connecting hospitals and primary healthcare centres through a specialized smart health management system for e-health services.
In the area of security, Globacom further proposed a surveillance management system designed to strengthen security coordination and improve safety management infrastructure across the state.
Also speaking during the meeting, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation and Chief Executive Officer of the Solution Innovation District, Chinwe Okoli, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to building a thriving innovation ecosystem in Anambra.
She stated that the government is focused on empowering young people with digital and entrepreneurial skills capable of positioning them as globally competitive professionals and technology innovators, while also expressing willingness to partner with Globacom Limited at the Solution Innovation District.
The meeting underscored the growing synergy between the Anambra State Government and private sector stakeholders in advancing digital transformation, smart governance, and inclusive socio-economic development in the state.
