Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has consistently maintained that governance should be measured through verifiable results rather than rhetoric, delivering measurable progress across critical sectors of Anambra State for citizens.
Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, Dr. Law Mefor, reaffirmed government’s commitment to communicating achievements with transparency, accountability, and verifiable facts, enabling citizens to independently assess development across the state.
Speaking during the maiden edition of Anambra Coffee and Conversations, Dr. Mefor explained that the programme examines baseline figures highlighting Governor Soludo’s first-term achievements through documented, measurable, and verifiable records.
He noted that the presented figures reflected milestones recorded before the administration’s second term commenced on March 17, adding that significant progress has continued across every sector of governance.
Dr. Mefor disclosed that over 2,000 kilometres of roads were repaired through Operation Zero Pothole, while 560 kilometres of durable single-lane roads were newly constructed across Anambra State successfully.
According to him, the administration’s free education policy has eliminated school fees and levies, benefiting over 598,300 students, while secondary and primary school enrolment increased by 47 and 27 percent respectively.
The Commissioner further revealed that over 206,000 women accessed free antenatal care, while 642 Caesarean Sections were successfully conducted with zero recorded maternal mortality among programme beneficiaries statewide.
On security and economic growth, Dr. Mefor stated that sixty-two criminal camps were dismantled under Operation Udo Ga Chi, while strategic investments continue stimulating economic growth and creating sustainable opportunities statewide.
