The Anambra State Government has approved compensation for property owners whose properties fall within the right-of-way of the Nkwelle Junction/Phase 2B connection to the Second Niger Bridge access road project.
The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Arc. Okey Ezeobi, disclosed this on Oct. 20, during a stakeholder meeting at Ogidi Town Hall with affected residents from Ogidi, Ogbunike and Nkpor to discuss compensation arrangements.

The project, being executed by the Federal Government, involves the Nkwelle Junction/Phase 2B connection to the Second Niger Bridge access road corridor in Anambra State. It is expected to improve access to the bridge and strengthen transportation links between Anambra and Delta states.
The state government’s approval of compensation is intended to address the concerns of property owners whose buildings and other properties fall within the designated right-of-way.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the government to engage directly with affected communities on the compensation process and the implications of the project for residents.
The state government reiterated its commitment to infrastructure development while ensuring that the legitimate interests of citizens whose properties are affected by public projects receive appropriate attention.
