The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, in December 2025, announced plans to dualise the 3-3, Nkisi–Nkwelle Road in Onitsha as part of strategic efforts to address the persistent traffic congestion in the area.
Describing the traffic situation as unacceptable, the governor assured Ndi Anambra that his administration is committed to bringing lasting relief. He noted that the road project is expected to significantly reduce travel time, improve traffic flow, and enhance the overall urban outlook of the commercial city.
True to his promise, work on the dualisation of the 3-3, Nkisi–Nkwelle Road has now commenced in full force. Contractors and workers are currently on-site, working tirelessly—day and night—to ensure the project is delivered within the stipulated timeline.
This development underscores Governor Soludo’s continued commitment to infrastructural transformation and urban renewal across the state.
