Hon. Felix Ikechi, the immediate past Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, has officially declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Anambra State House of Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Making his declaration at the Olumbanasa ward II Meeting at Igbedor, Ikechi described his decision as a response to the growing call for effective and responsive representation. He noted that his ambition is driven by a desire to advance the collective interests of the constituency and deliver people-oriented governance.
The former council boss emphasized that his previous role afforded him firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities within the area, adding that he remains committed to translating that experience into impactful legislative service. According to him, the declaration marks not just a personal milestone, but a renewed moment of hope and unity for the people.
Ikechi reaffirmed his loyalty to APGA, describing the party as a platform rooted in the identity, progress, and aspirations of Ndi Anambra. He stressed that his candidacy aligns with the party’s core principles of grassroots development, inclusive leadership, and people-first governance.
Outlining his vision, the aspirant pledged to provide effective representation, attract development projects and infrastructure, and create opportunities for economic growth. He also highlighted plans to empower youths through skills development and employment initiatives, while promoting the inclusion and advancement of women in economic activities.
He further assured constituents of his commitment to transparency, accountability, and accessibility in leadership, promising a style of governance that is both participatory and impactful. Ikechi noted that his ambition is not driven by personal gain, but by a genuine desire to serve and uplift the people of Anambra West.
Calling for unity and support, he urged the electorate to rally behind his aspiration, expressing confidence that together, under the APGA platform, a more prosperous and inclusive Anambra West can be achieved.
