Anambra West House of Assembly hopeful, Hon. Felix Ikechi, on March 28, met with Local Government Principal Officers and Ward Officers of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as part of his consultations ahead of the forthcoming state assembly election.
The meeting, which brought together key stakeholders of the party across the local government, served as a platform for Hon. Ikechi to formally inform party leaders of his intention to contest for the Anambra West State House of Assembly seat.
He also used the opportunity to outline his vision for effective and quality representation, anchored on grassroots development, inclusiveness, and responsive leadership.

Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Ikechi highlighted his achievements while serving as Transition Committee Chairman, noting that his scorecards was reflective of impactful projects, prudent financial management, and people-oriented initiatives.
The former Anambra West Mayor stressed that his experience in public service has adequately prepared him to deliver greater value at the state assembly level.
He further called for unity and collective support among party members, emphasizing the need to strengthen APGA’s structure in Anambra West ahead of the election.
In their responses, the party’s local government and ward officers commended Hon. Ikechi for the proactive engagement and acknowledged his contributions during his time in office.
They assured him of their support while urging continued collaboration in the interest of the party and the development of the constituency.
The meeting is part of ongoing political engagements by aspirants seeking to secure party backing ahead of the primaries.
