The Deputy Majority Leader of Anambra State House of Assembly and member representing Njikoka II Constituency Hon. Jude Akpua, has restated the commitment of Anambra Patriots for Soludo (APS) to ensure Governor Chukwuma Soludo secures a second term in office.

Hon. Akpua, who made this known during an interactive session with members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Awka, described APS as a grassroot driven support group engaging communities and villages to showcase governor’s achievements and future plans.

“Soludo is a man sent by God to transform Anambra in all ramifications.” He expressed confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the August 16, 2025 Anambra South Senatorial election, assuring that the process would be peaceful and secure. He also voiced optimism that APGA candidate, Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu, would emerge victorious.

Highlighting Governor Soludo’s performance, Akpua noted significant infrastructural projects across Anambra South and commended improvements in security, saying that Anambra is calm under Soludo’s leadership.

Speaking also at the media parley, Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu, APGA senatorial candidate for Anambra South, urged stakeholders especially Journalists to ensure factual and balanced reporting during the election period.

“The people expect INEC to conduct free and fair elections and it is not enough for it to be fair – it must be seen to be fair,” Nwachukwu stressed.

He called on Journalists to combat false news and on all stakeholders to uphold integrity, warning against sharp practices. Nwachukwu also appealed for law and order to be maintained to allow INEC work professionally, noting that while Nigerian professionals are capable, external influences often undermine their efforts.
