The University on the Niger, Umunya, has recorded a major academic milestone with the emergence of its first professor, Ven. Dr. Emmanuel Uzuegbunam, who has attained the rank of Professor of Old Testament Studies.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, announced the development on Nov. 4, during the university’s 14th Senate Meeting held at its Umunya campus.
Uzuegbunam’s elevation represents an important step in the institution’s academic development and its efforts to strengthen scholarship, research and teaching.
His attainment of professorial rank also strengthens the university’s academic profile, particularly in theological studies and biblical scholarship.
The university management congratulated Uzuegbunam on the achievement and wished him continued success in his academic and professional career.
