‎The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Dr Victor Umeh, on Sept. 20, joined Catholic faithful in Awba-Ofemili, Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, for the solemn dedication of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
‎
‎The landmark liturgical ceremony was presided over by the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, who formally dedicated the church edifice and altar for worship.
‎
‎In his remarks, Sen. Umeh congratulated the catholic community of Awba-Ofemili, commending its faith, resilience and commitment to completing the church project. He described the dedication as a significant spiritual milestone that marked the beginning of a new chapter in the spiritual life of the community.
‎

‎Also in attendance was the member representing Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Oby Lilian Orogbu, alongside the traditional ruler of Awba-Ofemili, members of the clergy and other religious leaders, as well as community members.
‎
‎As part of the ceremony, Bishop Ezeokafor planted a tree of dedication and blessed the Grotto of the Blessed Virgin Mary, further highlighting the spiritual significance of the occasion.
‎
‎The celebration brought together catholic faithful, political leaders, traditional authorities and other members of the community in thanksgiving and prayers for the continued growth of the church and the wellbeing of the people of Awba-Ofemili.
