St. John Bosco Seminary, Isuaniocha, Anambra State, has formally invested its newly admitted students for the 2026/2027 academic session, with the Rector, Very Rev. Fr. Daniel Eduzor, calling on parents and guardians to play an active role in nurturing their children towards priestly formation.
The investiture ceremony, held on Oct. 25, marked the beginning of a new phase in the spiritual, moral and academic development of the incoming seminarians.
Delivering the homily during the Holy Mass, Fr. Eduzor reaffirmed the seminary’s mission of forming baptised male catholics who have a genuine desire to become catholic priests.

He emphasised that the formation of future priests begins at home, noting that the values instilled in children by their families play a significant role in shaping their character, faith and readiness for priestly service.
“In your wards, we see the kind of family that nurtured them. The kind of priests they would become tomorrow begins now,” the Rector noted.

Fr. Eduzor stressed that successful priestly formation requires a strong partnership between the church and families, urging parents to remain committed to their children’s spiritual growth, moral development and academic progress throughout their years in the seminary.
He noted that the responsibility of preparing future priests extends beyond the seminary, as parents and guardians remain important partners in guiding the young men towards fulfilling their vocations.
The ceremony reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing sound spiritual and academic formation for students aspiring to serve the catholic church as priests.
Following the Holy Mass, the seminary held a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meeting, where parents and school authorities discussed ways to strengthen collaboration and ensure a productive and successful 2026/2027 academic session.
