FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC), at its 5th meeting for the second term of the Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo administration, held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Light House, Awka, approved far-reaching measures aimed at deepening governance, expanding access to justice, and accelerating development across the state under the SOLUTION 2.0 agenda.
Chaired by His Excellency, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, the Council took the following key decisions:
- ACTIVATION OF THE SOLUDOZIE ANAMBRA PROGRAMME
Council approved the immediate activation of the SOLUDOZIE ANAMBRA PROGRAMME under the Public-Private-Community Partnership (PPCP) model.
The programme will mobilise high-net-worth individuals and communities across the 179 communities of Anambra State to partner with government in the provision of critical infrastructure including roads, schools, and medical centres. This reflects the administration’s recognition that sustainable development requires the collective effort of government, the private sector, and the people. - PROVISION OF CAMPUS HOSTELS THROUGH BOT ARRANGEMENT
In response to the growing number of students living off-campus, ANSEC resolved to partner with private investors to provide adequate and affordable hostel accommodation in tertiary institutions across the state.
The hostels will be delivered through a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) arrangement to ensure students have access to a safe and complete campus experience. Modalities for implementation take effect immediately. - STRENGTHENING OF THE GRIEVANCE REDRESS MECHANISM (GRM)
To ensure timely and fair resolution of complaints, ANSEC approved measures to make the state’s Grievance Redress Mechanism more robust and accessible to Ndi Anambra.
The strengthened GRM will receive, evaluate, and resolve disputes relating to human rights and service delivery between citizens and the Anambra State Government. Ndi Anambra are again advised to forward any grievance to: Website: https://grm.anambrastate.gov.ng; Email: [email protected]; tel.: 08033870988. - EXPANDED SENSITISATION ON SMALL CLAIMS COURTS
Council directed increased public awareness on the availability and use of Small Claims Courts in Anambra State.
Established by the Soludo administration, these specialised judicial divisions are designed to resolve civil disputes involving small sums of money quickly, inexpensively, and without the need for complex legal representation. The sensitisation will target poor citizens and small business owners who stand to benefit most from the service.
ANSEC reaffirmed the commitment of the Soludo administration to building a liveable, prosperous, and smart megacity through policies that are people-centred, transparent, and sustainable.
PROJECTS
ANSEC also approved funds for Infrastructure Works at Solution Innovation District (SID), Awka, aimed at strengthening tech and innovation infrastructure in the state.
