The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has reiterated his leadership philosophy, urging public officials to remain focused, innovative and accountable in the discharge of their duties.
The statement, “Let our focus be clear, think boldly, serve faithfully and deliver results,” was made during a State Executive Council meeting at the Government House, Awka. This is a consistent statement the governor makes at his State Executive Council meetings, where he regularly reminds members of the Anambra State Executive Council and senior government officials on governance priorities and performance expectations.
Explaining the essence of the message, the governor emphasized that clarity of focus is essential in governance, with priority attention to key sectors such as security, education, infrastructure, job creation and economic development, stressing that resources and energy must be directed toward issues that have direct impact on citizens’ welfare, rather than distractions or short term political interests.
He called for bold and forward thinking leadership, noting that meaningful progress requires the courage to embrace reforms, innovation and modern technology even when such changes challenge existing systems or traditions.
On public service, Soludo underscored the importance of integrity and accountability, describing governance as a responsibility to serve the people faithfully rather than a platform for personal gain, urging officials to remain transparent and committed to the public good at all times.
The governor highlighted the need for measurable outcomes, insisting that policies and government initiatives must translate into tangible improvements in the lives of citizens, including better infrastructure, improved social services, and expanded economic opportunities.
In summary, the message reflects a governance philosophy anchored on focus, courage, integrity, and performance driven results aimed at accelerating development, improving the welfare of the people.
