The State Sexual Assault Referral Center (SARC) Steering committee in partnership with Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (RoLAC) plans to expand/escalate SARC services to Primary and Secondary health facilities in the state to effectively manage Gender Based Violence (GBV) in the state and improve the wellbeing of survivors.
To explore these views, the committee and its stakeholders had a meeting at the State Ministry of Health Data Operation Centre, Awka.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Obiageli Uchebo presided over the meeting. Welcoming the participants, she appreciated the RoLAC for all its support, other Stakeholders and Health workers for their sacrifice.
The State Project Coordinator, RoLAC Programme, Dr. Josephine Onah encouraged health workers, the Judiciary, office of the Women and Social Welfare, Security officials and Correctional Service officials to close the bridge between survival and prevention of the acts of GBV so that the society could boast of safety once more.
The RoLAC Consultant and Facilitator, Mrs. Juliet Olumuyiwa-Rufai rolled out methods to adopt on strengthening the operational effectiveness and sustainability of their plans.
